Orsa Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Orsa mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Orsa is an espresso journaling app that allows you to:

• Log and track coffee brewing sessions
• Store information about coffee beans and equipment
• Share brew data with others
• View brewing history and statistics

User Accounts and Data

Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Orsa

Your Content

• You retain ownership of all data you enter into Orsa
• By sharing brews, you grant us a license to display and distribute that specific content
• You represent that you have the right to share any photos you upload
• You will not share content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes others' rights

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the App
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Scrape or harvest data from other users' shared brews without permission
• Use the App in any way that could harm us or other users

Sharing and Public Content

When you share a brew:

• The brew data and photo become publicly accessible via the share link
• Anyone with the link can view the shared content
• We are not responsible for how others use or share your public content
• You can request removal of shared content by contacting us

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

• Orsa, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by us
• You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• All trademarks and logos are our property

Your License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Third-Party Services

Orsa may integrate with third-party services (analytics, hosting, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

Disclaimers

App Provided "As Is"

ORSA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• The App will meet your specific needs
• Data will never be lost (always backup important information)
• The App will be compatible with all devices or operating systems

Not Professional Advice

Orsa is for tracking and journaling purposes only. Any information or suggestions provided by the App:

• Are not professional coffee consulting or advice
• Should not be relied upon as expert guidance
• Are based on your own inputs and general information

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• We are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed $50 or the amount you paid to use the App (currently $0), whichever is greater

This limitation applies even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Data Loss

While we take reasonable precautions, we are not responsible for:

• Data loss due to device failure, deletion, or corruption
• Loss of shared brews if our servers fail
• Inability to recover data after uninstalling the App

Recommendation: Export or backup your data regularly if it's important to you.

Termination

By You

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Use the App in a harmful or abusive manner
• Create risk or legal liability for us

We will attempt to provide notice but are not required to do so.

Changes to Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time
• Change features or pricing (if we introduce paid features)
• Update these Terms

We will provide reasonable notice of material changes when possible, but are not obligated to maintain the App indefinitely.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective when posted in the App with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of Orsa after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Your State], United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in [Your County/State].

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Any disputes not resolved informally may be subject to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive your right to a jury trial or class action.

Note: Arbitration clauses can be complex. Consult a lawyer if you want to include this.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Orsa regarding use of the App.
